Tom went back for radiation today. I believe the schedule is today, tomorrow, Friday and then Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week. The last 3 treatments are expected to be the most difficult as they will be focusing on the esophagus. It probably will be difficult for Tom to swallow for a bit.

This afternoon, Tom & Bonnie drove out to O'Hare to pick up Tom's friend, Fred. He is going to stay with them at least through the weekend and help out. I think it will be good for Bonnie to have some help. Maybe she can relax a bit and get herself better. Fred hails from Florida so maybe he brought some sunshine and warm weather with him.

Bonnie has said it has been quite a relearning of things. Their furniture is so comfy that once Tom gets settled in he can't get back out. They got one of those cool recliners last night that practically stand you back up when you are ready to get up. This new fancy chair should give Tom some independence.

I talked with Tom briefly today (to give an update on Fred's flight). He said radiation went okay. They were running behind as usual. What I noticed most is that his voice sounded much stronger. Let's hope his legs are getting stronger too.
